Η
Ουκρανία έπληξε τον σταθμό ηλεκτροπαραγωγής στο Μπέλγκοροντ με
αμερικανικής κατασκευής HIMARS προκαλώντας διακοπές σε μέρη της πόλης.
Όπως αναφέρεται πολλά τμήματα της πόλης έχουν βυθιστεί στο σκοτάδι, ενώ έχει διακοπεί και η παροχή νερού.
Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες τα συστήματα HIMARS βρίσκονταν στο Χάρκοβο για να αποφύγουν την άμεση απάντηση των ρωσικών δυνάμεων καθώς το Χάρκοβο είναι ρωσόφωνο και οποιαδήποτε ρωσική επίθεση θα έπληττε και αμάχους.
Ο Βιατσεσλάβ Γκλάντκοφ, κυβερνήτης της περιφέρειας του Μπέλγκοροντ, επιβεβαίωσε την πυραυλική επίθεση στην πόλη και τις γύρω περιοχές, η οποία είχε ως αποτέλεσμα τον τραυματισμό δύο ατόμων.
Σύμφωνα με τον ίδιο, ένα σημαντικό μέρος της περιοχής έμεινε χωρίς ηλεκτρικό ρεύμα, λόγω του οποίου τα νοσοκομεία και η εταιρεία ύδρευσης άλλαξαν σε εφεδρικές πηγές ενέργειας.
